#4: Aint No Mountain High Enough
Calum Davidson and Naser Ghazi have undertaken what seems to be the impossible: they are climbing Everest.
…If you’ve ever been out on the town with them, you’ll know that this is no easy feat.
They’re going through the unimaginable to raise money for Music4Children and for the education of Nepalese orphans in some of the poorest parts of Nepal. As if conquering Everest wasn’t enough, they’ll will also be breaking the world record for the World’s Highest Gig at its summit. Make sure you catch their presentation at Brainchild, including a documentary of their experiences, motives and reflections.

Artist #3: Waskerley Way
My first live experience of Waskerley Way is a memory that I will undoubtedly take with me to the grave. Crammed into a claustrophobic pub in Newcastle, surrounded by beer guzzling geordies, the solo performance of a slightly bewildered multi-instrumentalist perched nervously overly a decidedly understated HP laptop couldn’t have been more of a shock to the system for the majority. Yet what made this performance so special was that it worked, and left sizable portions of the crowd completely awestruck. An absolute gem, his set at Brainchild is sure to amaze.

Artist #2: Le Comte de LongHorn
Le Comte de Longhorn has performed burlesque in Paris and London venues, including appearing in We Ate All The Pies at Covent Garden, The Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club and the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. A finalist in the Male Tournament of Tease 2008, he was also previously a member of acclaimed burlesque troupe, Fred Bear and The Bears. A total gem, not to be missed.

Artist #1: Pandr Eyez
We are thrilled to have London duo Pandr Eyez gracing the Brainchild Mainstage as headliners this year. Two kids, one from the USA (Ferren) and the other a Brit (Tom), combine to create a glistening and smooth style of Rn’B that sours and smothers in the most gratifying of ways. It all sounds rather perfect, the influences are delicately and sweetly overlaid over grooves that pop and shudder with an impeccable amount of confidence.
Check out their Soundcloud and be sure to catch them over the weekend.

Rosie McBurney adds her skills to the creative basket with the three headed dog, declaring that partaking in Brainchild will be a task of taming the three staged beast - there’ll be THAT much to do/see/get excited about/sleep through. Wonderful stuff.
Will buries his head like an ostrich while Sanjay explains how the Internet only exists conceptually. Pretty lucky we’re gonna have all the answers in The Forum tent to this and more puzzling questions of the universe and of the magical. — both these photos from Marina, who’s crashed a million miles from home. Over and out.
‘the Internet scares me more than space’, a confession from will, who’s joined us after a long day’s worth of planning. …
Something non-visual about what we’re doin’
We have no money but we trying to prove that doesn’t have to matter.
We dedicate our time to putting together three days in the middle of summer, in a field, with tents and shacks and flags and massive PA systems, to celebrate all the original, creative thinking we can find.
Our festivalgoers, and performers, should feel empowered by Brainchild Festival. Live acts with a story, an intention and a delivery great enough to make you feel excited about being human. Together we’ll create a platform for creativity like no other, and an environment to get everyone using their minds, trusting the strength of their originality and believing in the things that make them feel bloody great.
We host lots of live music and DJ’s worthy of mass excitement. We’re also hosting presentations and discussions chaired by friends and other speakers about relevant topics that make the world go round. Poets, Comedians, Films, workshops in Art, Graffiti, Textiles - if it’s getting you to think creatively, we’re interested.
The environment will be interactive, with installations and structures to give life to and make your own. We advise you to bring a tent, music-contraptions such as boom-boxes or instruments, and paints and pens.
That is not all.
